A resolution without a conviction is at best a good intention that will likely never amount to any action. Too often, this is the extent of my fleeting desires as I pass from one year to the next. Without a foundational conviction rooted to God’s Word that is inspired by the Holy Spirit, my ability to change or to be changed with any lasting effect is highly unlikely.
